This walkthrough provides the basic steps for enabling logging for Ecrion Develop™.
Step 1 - Open Management Console
Open the Windows Start menu, type Management Console and select the application to open it.
Access the Ecrion Develop local path and go to the Bin folder. Default path is C:\Program Files\Ecrion\Develop 2018 (64 bit)\Bin. Double click on ManagementConsole.exe to open the application.
Step 2 - Change the Log Level
Select Server Manager\Configuration\Ecrion Develop Engine\Engine Settings\Logging under Management Console tool
Double-click on the Log Level property to change its value. You can choose from the following values:
- None - No logging will occur;
- Normal - Errors, warnings and information messages will be logged;
- All - Errors, warnings, information messages and various traces will be logged;
- Debug - Everything will be logged. Includes diagnostic information for troubleshooting.
To log the stack trace whenever an exception is thrown, set the Dump Stack Trace On Error to true. NOTE: By default, it should be set to false; it must be turned on for troubleshooting, only when instructed by Technical Support Team.
To write errors and warnings in your log file, a restart of the Ecrion Develop Engine service from Task Manager is recommended.
Step 3 - View the log file
By default, the log file is stored in C:\ProgramData\Ecrion\Log. Search for PublisherSvc*.log file and open it using an editor text.
Changing the default log file is simple. Double-click on the Log Folder option from Management Console, then add the new path.
