This walkthrough describes the basic steps for ensuring protection on your project snapshots by enabling the review and approval process, using Ecrion Converse™.
Step 1 - Enable Review and Approval
Start by accessing the workspace on which you want to enable review and approval. Select Manage Workspace from Configuration.
The Configuration tile appears only for users included in groups with Manage Environment checked.
Check both, 'Run only approved files' and 'Approve communication projects before publish' options.
Enabling 'Run only approved files' option will enforce users to run only approved communications. Otherwise, an error will be displayed:
Checking 'Approve communication projects before publish', will enable the Publish option only for approved project snapshots.
Step 2 - Request Review and Approval
Requesting reviews is available only for project snapshots. Simply select Request Review and Approval from More Options menu under the Project Snapshots list.
Select a convenient date to receive the review for the submitted file. Optionally, you can add comments or new files.
Under Workspaces\Task, a new task will be submitted and will be assigned to a person or a group of persons with environment permissions.
